Spend your Alaska Fishing Vacation with Port Lions Lodge Kodiak Island, Alaska is the second largest island in the United States and the largest island of the Kodiak Archipelago, a group of islands off of the south side of Alaska. Because of its location, it is reported that the most productive fishing grounds surround the island and Port Lions Lodge. Port Lions is a location where fishermen around the world go yearly to enjoy the sport.

Port Lions Lodge is located in Settler Cove off Kizhuyak Bay on the north end of Kodiak Island. The nine bedroom six bath fishing lodge is located steps from the waters of Settlers Cove. The Full Service Fishing Lodge’s maximum occupancy is 12 clients but a group 8 booking together on an open week will get the lodge and the boats exclusively. Lodge rooms are double occupancy and most have a private bath for your comfort. Each room has at least a double bed and a twin bed which provides for various sleeping arrangements.

Meals are served family style and will include breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dinners will vary from seafood, steaks, shellfish, or a variety of meals our talented cooks have in store for you. Meals will include fresh bread and desserts for after dinner. If you are booked for our 5 day 6 night stay you will enjoy a steak and crab night. The views from our full service lodge are phenomenal. Enjoy the majestic snow capped Kodiak mountains across Kizhuyak Bay from our dining room or great room. Keep alert while on the island at all times for arctic fox, bald eagle, deer, puffin, sea otters, sea lions, whales, bears, goats, and numerous other animals indigenous to Kodiak Island. They will put on a show for you almost daily.

You will truly be fishing in a wonderland of beautiful scenery with majestic creatures all around. While fishing you never know what you will hook into or how big it will be when it hits the surface. We have caught giant octopus with tentacle spreads of over 8 feet while fishing for halibut. We have hooked into very nice rock fish on light tackle only to have the fish violently attacked by Ling Cod over 60 pounds on the way to the surface. We have also caught wolf eels and trophy king salmon while bottom fishing for halibut or rock fish. It is quite an adventure when you are just never sure what will be next to go for your bait!

Our staff at Port Lions Lodge will professionally clean, vacuum seal, and freeze your catch daily. At the end of your stay they will pack your catch in shipping boxes for the trip back home.

Come to Port Lions Lodge and enjoy one of Alaska’s Premier Full Service Fishing Lodges.
